In an increasingly competitive tourism landscape, VisitLEX, the destination marketing organization (DMO) for Lexington, Kentucky, recognized the need to adopt a more data-driven approach to its passport program. As the DMO sought to enhance its effectiveness in engaging with visitors, it turned to Bandwango — a destination experience engine that helps organize things to do into free and paid experiences that integrate directly into websites.
VisitLEX was managing a physical passport program that took hours of physical and manual labor from the DMO’s staff. Time was spent organizing spreadsheets of data, manually entering information, pulling reports, searching for entries, and scouring forms.
Prizes could no longer be distributed via the DMO’s office, forms for passport users only required a small amount of useful data, and managing the passport became a full-time job for Arin Arnold-Davis, Director of Destination Stewardship and Community Engagement at VisitLex, who sought to fulfill the success of a digital solution with optimized and made-for-their-market passes.
VisitLEX turned to Simpleiview for the integration of Simpleview CMS and Bandwango to create a seamless online experience for digital pass users that increases destination engagement and eliminates manual processes of the past.
Don’t believe us, believe the numbers reported since launching Simpleview + Bandwango:
