The team at Destination Madison developed four signature stories to craft a narrative for its destination in a “very Madison way.” Complete with videos and playful guides — the stories, which can be found on the homepage of visitmadison.com, walk visitors through each of the following unique experiences:
- Urban outdoor adventure
- Culinary
- Sustainability
- Arts and culture
“Defining those has been a really fun practice, a great adventure, and is elevating the work we do,” said Ashley (McCallum) Pettay, Content Manager at Destination Madison.
Beyond highlighting the destination’s hidden gems for potential and in-market travelers, the signature stories shed light on the unique local businesses that proudly call Madison, Wisconsin home. Plus, as an added bonus, much of the DMO’s marketing efforts are driven by the four categories — helping create cohesive and relevant content year-round.
