The State of Digital Marketing Report for Destination Marketers

The results are in for the first annual State of Digital Marketing survey that we conducted in early March 2022!

After realizing that many destination marketers were re-evaluating their priorities and capabilities in this data-driven world, we wanted a way to benchmark key practices that enable the industry to clearly define what best-in-class marketers are doing to stay ahead.

Enter the State of Digital Marketing survey. The survey contained approximately 40 questions; it was completed by 74 participants and the highlights from this report were shared at the Layover Live session at the 2022 Simpleview Summit.

Our findings have been summarized in the 2022 State of Digital Marketing Findings Report with hopes to provide destination marketers with the latest data on how DMOs are using digital marketing to drive results. The objective is to identify and quantify the key practices being used by destination marketers to achieve digital marketing excellence.
