As a CMS Project Manager, Melanie Soules works with talented and dedicated colleagues, clients and partners to produce beautiful and high-performing websites on time and on budget. Melanie most enjoys being a coach throughout the website production process and helping teach clients how easy, fun and impactful technology can be. "I love the "aha" moments when I can help a client learn to do something new or more efficiently," she says.
Melanie attended the University of California, Davis, where she graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Evolution, Ecology & Biodiversity, minoring in Technology Management. After college, she spent more than two years working for the World Food Travel Association, which, combined with her ecology background, led to a passion for economic development and niche tourism marketing. This ultimately took her to Washington DC to pursue a Masters in Tourism Administration, with a concentration in Sustainable Destination Management, from George Washington University. While working on her masters, she also fostered her passion for technology, spending almost seven years as a project manager and database specialist for, a company that specializes in website development and technology solutions for nonprofit organizations. As part of her tourism studies, Melanie consulted on wine tourism marketing in the Douro Valley, Portugal. She has also presented on culinary tourism for the Travel & Tourism Research Association (TTRA), Southern Delaware Tourism and the New York City College of Technology.
