DTN DMO Markets Specialist

Previously a member of the Experience Design team in Tucson, Kurtis moved north to beautiful Bend, Oregon and rejoined Simpleview in 2016. As a DMO Markets Specialist for the Destination Travel Network, he ensures that projects that impact DMO sites, ad products, and revenue are completed on time and with diligence, and serves as a support contact for our DMO partners. His favorite thing about his job is the opportunity to work with some of the top tourism marketing talent across the country!

Simply Put:

  • The farthest he has ever been from home is Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  • A few years ago, he hiked the 100-mile Wilderness at the top of the Appalachian Trail!
  • He loves a good taco - which he claims is surprisingly hard to find in Oregon.

 

Kurtis completed his undergraduate studies in 2004 at Northern Arizona University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in advertising and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual communications, with an emphasis in graphic design. He went on to earn a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in 2010.

Kurtis is a seasoned marketer and graphic designer with six years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. Prior to originally joining the Simpleview Creative team in 2015, Kurtis worked as the Marketing Director at Buffalo Exchange, the Assistant Director of Marketing at the UA BookStores and as a Marketing Analyst for UA Presents.
