Visit Norfolk
Simpleview worked with Visit Norfolk to redesign a more competitive website. They wanted a hip, urban, waterfront city feel and relevant content right up front. Sunset-on-the-water colors make the VisitNorfolk logo come to life and carry the waterfront feel throughout the site. A slider of stories and events are promoted from the home page and a unique "Cruise" section is called out in the navigation, perfect for this international cruise port.
Distinctive Feature: A post-launch addition to the site made at Visit Norfolk's request is the Special Alerts Module, which they proactively instituted to communicate about Hurricane Matthew in October.
Sandy Springs
Founded in 2005, Sandy Springs, Georgia is a new and evolving city that needed a website flexible enough to grow along with the destination. Compelling imagery on the homepage immediately highlights both the urban and natural appeal of the locale, which features park and river recreation just minutes from metro Atlanta. Simpleview worked with the Sandy Springs team to feature the developing dining and arts scene and poplar parks and recreation opportunities, highlighting the variety of things to do, from reveling in Restaurant Week to kayaking and fishing with the family.
