The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau  is a perfect example of how tourism can boom with the right mixture of client relations management, marketing, and sales.

To highlight what can be achieved, it was revealed that the economic impact of tourism in Winnebago County was up 4.7% from 2012 and topped $326 million!

According to Stateline Business Journal, the success of the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is reflected in the 2,659 jobs created and supported by tourism - which generated $71.68 million in payroll, $5.4 million in tax revenue at a local level, and $18.3 million for the State of Illinois.
