As DMOs rapidly align their websites to the ever-evolving COVID-19 situation, we’re working in lockstep to make sure that each and every Simpleview client has the tools they need to utilize their CMS for making changes.

There are three key areas that we are seeing clients use the CMS as the landscape shifts:

Landing Pages and Microsites

A landing page is a good option for a single source of content, such as a resource page. But if you want to support multiple COVID-19 page types, it's better to use a microsite. Both of these would live outside the main site.

Special Alerts

After you've created your landing page, an easy way to promote the content on your website is through a Special Alert, also known as 'Announcement'. This creates a pop-up message that is tailored to link to your landing page.

Inspiring Content

Although providing clear information and reporting on local businesses is important, visitors are also looking for inspiring and engaging content. You can do this with capturing imagery or video, positive community focus and virtual experiences. We are seeing many DMOs do this while also reinforcing current travel advisories—and the result is a remarkably on-brand experience.

In our most recent webinar, we shared how you can build out each of these features in your CMS, as well as creative ways that your peers are using their sites to support their local communities amid current travel and social restrictions. If you’re looking for ways to incorporate these tools, we highly recommend watching the recording of this webinar which walks through each of these areas in greater detail.

As always, we are here for you if you have any questions or need support. Please reach out to our team at marketing@simpleviewinc.com if we can be of help.
