As we continue to monitor the ongoing situation around COVID-19, we are constantly evaluating how best to serve our clients during this time. In doing so, we have added four new core amenity fields to the Simpleview CRM. These new amenities, which can be found under the Business Continuity Amenity tab, enable you to update listings for businesses that have been affected by COVID-19, marking them as one of the following:
- Open for Business
- Temporarily Closed
- Takeout Available
- Delivery Available
Your organization can choose to hide or show these amenity fields on the Extranet, giving your partners/members the option to update their status themselves, or you can choose to set a default setting (i.e. Open for Business) and require businesses to login to update their status. You also have the option to use the admin tool to add in additional fields as you see fit, such as “Alcohol Carryout Available.”
Here are a few ways that your peers are using these new amenities on their sites:
- To-Go Denver is a great example of a comprehensive restaurant listings page, which includes the option to sort available options by category.
- Visit Alexandria’s site features an “ALX at Home” page that invites users to “experience Alexandria’s restaurants, shops and attractions from the comfort of [their] own home.”
- Experience Grand Rapids has added pages for restaurants and shops in their destination, making great use of the Listings Pro Layout to enable website users to filter listings by available amenities.
