Kevin BateSimpleview Veteran to Lead the Organization’s Global Expansion Efforts

TUCSON, Ariz (September 2020) — As part of a renewed focus on global growth in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kevin Bate, former Senior Director of Business Development, has been promoted to Simpleview’s Vice President of Global Sales.

During his 15-year tenure at Simpleview, Bate has been an integral part of the New Business team, working to generate business on six different continents and build an international sales team. In this new position, he will focus on further expanding the organization’s global footprint in Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.

“Kevin’s knowledge of the industry, our organization, and his global connections made him the natural choice for this position,” said Greg Evans, Vice President of Sales & Account Services. “We’re looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table as he focuses his efforts on global growth and working with our sales teams in each region.”

Going forward, Bate will lead the regional directors of business development, including Paul Franke Jr. (US/Canada), Rebeca Berriochoa (LATAM/Caribbean), Caroline Dawson (UK/Northern Europe), and Christian Ortlepp (EMEA) to analyze data and industry intelligence in order to develop market-specific sales strategies.

“The pandemic will likely accelerate the evolution of destination organizations, so we will need to make sure Simpleview evolves as well, to ensure we continue to provide valuable solutions to the problems facing the destination organizations of the future,” said Bate.

He continued, “More importantly, a successful year of sales translates into helping destinations succeed - which helps create and sustain jobs, improve the lives of residents, and brings the world a little closer together through travel.”
