If you attended the Simpleview Summit in 2017, you had access to the VisitApps Summit App for the first time. This year it’s back with added features for even more convenience and interaction. Download the Summit app through the Google Play Store or App Store for planning, staying in the know, and getting the most out of your Summit experience. If you’ve already got the app from last year, simply open it up and follow the prompt to update it for 2018.

Keep in mind, DMOs and event planners, that everything the Summit app does, you can do with VisitApps for YOUR meetings/events or destination.

New & Notable in the Summit App & Your VisitApps

The Summit Scavenger Hunt is just one example of how the new Digital Passports feature can be used by event and meeting planners. The Digital Passport can also be used to encourage conference attendees to visit vendor tables, to make a walking tour more engaging, or to drive foot traffic to local businesses. With the use of tracked visitor check-ins, this client-requested tool can be a clear way to demonstrate value to local partners through an app.

Poll functionality in messages allows you to gather event feedback through multiple choice or free-response polls. Multiple choice polls offer up to four answers to choose from, and app users can see how people are voting, by percentage numbers. Free-response polls allow you to ask a question, for example, about a recent presentation at a conference, and get anonymous feedback from attendees.

Chronological ordering of sessions and the exporting option for notes were features requested by last year’s Summit attendees, and can be utilized in any event app. Users can use these features to track their meetings and export notes to email, a phone, and more, either note by note or all notes at once.
