This year's Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) and Hermes Creative Award winners in the Travel category were recently announced!
Internet Advertising Competition
Congratulations to the Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau for their receipt of an Outstanding Website award from the Internet Advertising Competition. The IAC awards are judged based on creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, use of medium and memorability. This is quite an accomplishment for the Athens CVB, entered into the Travel category.
The 2016 Athens redesign focused on specific targets to increase viewership in the meetings and sports markets. Athens also wanted to spotlight their social media presence for the destination, and our design team introduced new color palettes for the broader visitor base.
Hermes Creative Awards
This year's Hermes Awards was a great success, with three out of our three submitted nominations receiving awards. Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau and Northern Kentucky CVB won Gold Awards, while the Boulder Convention & Visitors Bureau received an Honorable Mention, all in the Tourism Category. Approximately 22 percent of entries receive the Gold Award, while 11 percent receive an Honorable Mention.
The revamping of the Macon site shows a heavy focus on beautiful imagery to promote their great festivals and other social events. Over in Northern Kentucky, the use of vibrant color spotlights the unique neighborhoods in the area. Boulder's new website implemented a new feature on the header slide to highlight their destination's diverse list of things to do!
Congratulations to all winners!
