TUCSON, AZ (April 13, 2017) Simpleview, Kognitiv (formerly known as Regatta Travel Solutions), and OnceThere are pleased to announce that they have entered into a joint marketing agreement to help destination marketing organizations (DMOs) boost e-commerce with their platforms.
"DMOs have built strong consumer brands, and they have more power to impact the online travel industry than they know," said Ashwin Kamlani, EVP of Kognitiv. "Recognizing that each of our companies provides best of breed services and tools that cover different aspects of online travel, we decided to work more closely together to help DMOs energize their websites and e-commerce efforts," he continued. "Our combined solution gives DMOs the ability to have a stronger, measurable impact on their partners' revenue, and therefore the overall success of the destination as a whole."
Recognizing the need to bring attractions and activity booking solutions to the DMO market, Simpleview announced a joint venture with OnceThere late last year. "OnceThere's attraction distribution and booking solution enables DMOs to leverage their position as an integral connection point between local activity providers and visitors," said Ryan George CEO of Simpleview. "OnceThere makes it simple for visitors to discover and book local activities online," commented John Weimer, CEO of OnceThere and former HomeAway exec. "Partnering with both Simpleview and Kognitiv is powerful on many levels - enabling travelers to find and not only book hotel rooms, but also all of the experiences in a destination in a way that is easy for the traveler, attraction supplier, and DMO"
Regatta Travel Solutions built its reputation on making it easy for travel shoppers to discover and book hotels directly from a DMO's website. After acquiring Regatta in August 2016, Kognitiv now provides advanced hotel booking engines as well as dynamic packaging, and demand generation services that boost DMO brand exposure and attract qualified shoppers from major metasearch sites including Tripadvisor, Trivago, Skyscanner and Google. DMOs that are on Kognitiv's collaborative travel commerce platform can promote their destinations to a wide audience through major consumer brands.
"Together our three companies provide an unparalleled level of expertise, experience, and service to help DMOs succeed," commented Mr. George. "I know our partners share Simpleview's commitment to helping DMOs navigate the increasingly complex digital landscape to fulfill their mission."
