Apps deliver the pinnacle of the smartphone, tablet or e-reader experience in that they combine rich design, extensive content and functionality and a nearly instant-response touch interface.

Our custom-built apps work in concert with simpleview CRM/CMS so that their content is regularly updated, always delivering the most current information as reflected on your full DMO website.

However, apps can also incorporate other features, functions and fun - limited only by our combined imaginations - such as swiping or shaking, compass functionality, use of the camera for capturing images and video, built-in voice recognition and more. 

Note that apps are platform specific. So while you can still maintain your core destination information content in simpleview CRM/CMS, an app built for Android phones won't work on an iPhone or Blackberry, and vice-versa.

To truly "leave no user behind," you may want to create a version of your app for each major mobile platform. Note also that apps require continuous updates - often involving additional programming support as each platform evolves or as platforms evolve along different paths (for example, Kindle Fire runs a version of Android that may diverge from the core OS over time).

For these reasons, app development can pose a number of challenges and typically carries with it a much higher development cost compared to mobile website development. At the same time, apps are what truly distinguish a smart device from anything else and can deliver the premium user experience.
