San Jose's Dan Fenton and Memphis' Kevin Kane bring Simpleview's advisors to 13 DMO leaders

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TUCSON
August 20
— Dan Fenton, chairman of the board of Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI), and Kevin Kane, DMAI board member, have both agreed to serve on Simpleview's Advisory Board, now numbering 13 of the nation's most visionary leaders in destination marketing. In addition to leadership within DMAI, both men head up destination marketing for the cities they call home. Fenton is CEO of Team San Jose. Kane is president and CEO of the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Another first
When it comes to products and technologies, Simpleview has long been known as a pioneer: first web-based CRM for destination marketing organizations (DMOs), first integrated CRM and CMS solution, first to extend that integrated solution to the mobile web and first to create an ad-serving network of DMO websites. In March 2009, the most experienced company in destination sales and marketing took a new leadership position, this time as the first company to form an advisory board of DMO leaders from across the country. The Simpleview Advisory Board held its inaugural meeting in Tucson last April. In October, the group will reconvene for two days in California's Santa Ynez Valley, the renowned wine country just north of Santa Barbara.

Helping the industry overall

Fenton and Kane agree that while serving on the Simpleview Advisory Board helps the company shape its own next generation of products and services, it also helps the destination marketing industry overall. "Simpleview has always taken a leadership role in destination marketing, and their work benefits everyone, not just their clients," Fenton said. "For me, serving on the Simpleview Advisory Board is one more way I can help the industry as a whole." Kane agreed: "Destination marketing has never been easy, but it's also never been as tough as during this past year. Simpleview has always helped DMOs reinvent themselves as the industry evolves. I'm honored to be part of a group that's now helping them more deeply understand our challenges on the front lines."

The Simpleview Advisory Board now includes 13 of the country's most forward-thinking DMO leaders: Scott Beck President and CEO, Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau, Stephanie Brown President and CEO, Alexandria Convention & Visitors Association, Bonnie Carlson President and CEO, Bloomington Convention & Visitors Bureau, David DuBois President and CEO, Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau, Dan Fenton CEO, Team San Jose Steve Hayes Executive Vice President, Tampa Bay & Company, Kevin Kane President and CEO, Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau, Dana Markel Executive Director, Omaha Convention & Visitors Bureau, John Reyes President and CEO, Visit Jacksonville, Harry Sladich President and CEO, Spokane Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau, Danna Stroud Director of Tourism and Recreation, Town of Mammoth Lakes, California, Rick Vaughan Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau and Jonathan Walker President and CEO, Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau.
