Expanded CRM Support, New Roles for Key Team Members
AnnouncementsThree quick announcements on changes in the CRM team at simpleview
Expanded Support
First, we're expanding our CRM support team to match our growing client base in this area and ensure fast, reliable responses to your needs.
We're on the search for new talent now but have already added a Project Manager, Jessica Johnson, and created the new role of CRM Support Representative, now held by Christina Leffler.
Jessica comes to simpleview with considerable experience interfacing with clients, including positions as VP of customer relations for the online marketplace ArtFire.com and as a support specialist for the global biomedical company, Beckman Coulter.
Christina Leffler you already know from the simpleview front desk (now the voice of Terry Kimberlin). Christina ("Chrissy") has been with simpleview 2 years and knows the finer points of working with the CRM team and the rest of the simpleview staff better than anyone else.
Eddie Talkington Managing Implementations
Second announcement, Eddie Talkington is moving into a full-time focus on new CRM projects as Manager of CRM Implementation, the lead when it comes to making sure each new implementation happens accurately and efficiently, with all the I's dotted and T's crossed.
Anyone who has transitioned DMO data to a new CRM platform knows it can be a delicate process, and anyone who's worked with Eddie on implementation knows what a critical role this is and how dedicated he is to getting it right.
Liz Fernstrom Directing CRM Operations
Last but not least, Liz Fernstrom, whom many of you have worked with as a CRM Project Manager, has taken on the role of Director of CRM Operations.
Liz has worked with simpleview for 3 years, focused exclusively on CRM and developing a solid understanding of both CRM development and client needs along the way. But that's only half the story: Liz came to simpleview with some pretty impressive leadership experience under her belt.
Given her background in operations and business management for smaller, entrepreneurial businesses as well as a mega-giant like Getty Images, we're excited to see what she'll do helm of the CRM ship!

Meeting planners and sales staff give simpleview client the thumbs-up on new Bid Book Generator
TUCSON, December 17, 2010 - The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) became the latest simpleview client to migrate to Bid Book Generator as a way to rapidly create and distribute meetings proposals, said Cara Frank, director of marketing at simpleview, which recently began offering the product to destination marketing organizations.
Hosting 10 million visitors a year, Fort Lauderdale competes heavily for meetings and events, which drive a significant portion of the city's $8+ billion travel and tourism economy, said Christine Tascione, CMP, VP, Convention & Group Sales at GFLCVB. The organization was eager to adopt technology that promised to streamline their RFP response process without compromising the quality of their historically high-impact proposals.
"We had immediate positive feedback, not only from our team but from our customers," said Tascione. "Our proposals look great and we can get them to planners so much faster, saving time and money on printing and mailing." In response to one of the first proposals created with GFLCVB's new Bid Book Generator process, "We had a meeting planner email us back immediately to say, 'I wish everyone sent proposals this way,'" Tascione said.
How Bid Book Generator Works
Bid Book Generator gives DMOs a set of web-based tools to create and send proposals for conventions, meetings, group travel and other events. After a detailed planning, design and implementation phase, DMOs can edit and customize bids, defining page sets, drawing on template and asset libraries and using familiar WYSIWYG editing tools.
The product's distributed production model is built on fine-tuned permissions settings that allow specific team members to edit select content areas, leveraging individual expertise without jeopardizing the sum quality of the finished product. As a result, DMOs can create information-rich, brochure-quality proposals quickly and efficiently without design staff. The print-ready, digital document can then be instantly distributed electronically or dispatched for printing and mailing.
A Way to "Reclaim Time"
"We've seen a statistic that DMO sales staff spend more than 30 percent of their time on menial tasks instead of engaging customers," said Ryan George, simpleview CEO. "When we got to see how Bid Book Generator works, we immediately saw how it could free up sales staff and reclaim their time for higher-value activities, and we knew it was something we wanted to offer our clients."
simpleview is the exclusive reseller for Bid Book Generator, a product created by strategic partner, Distribion.
Schedule a Bid Book Generator Demo
DMOs are invited to participate in a live demonstration of Bid Book Generator. Current clients can schedule a demo by contacting their account managers. Other DMOs can request a demo through simpleview's online request form.
