simpleview Inc., which specializes in software for convention and visitors bureaus, started in 2001 with just three employees. Today, more than 30 are employed at the company's Northwest Side headquarters, where programmers and marketing specialists build Web sites and manage data for bureaus nationwide.

Finalists for the the 2007 Wells Fargo Copper Cactus Awards have been released, revealing both new and familiar faces. The annual awards celebration — now in its 10th year — honors regionally based small businesses in three categories: business growth, community service and best place to work. Finalists were chosen from among 462 nominees.

How it all began…..Ryan George (class of 1997) and Scott Wood (class of 1999) first met when Ryan interviewed him for a programming position within the IT Division of an accounting firm he was working for at the time.
